Gratitude & Goals (July/August)
Don’t freak out, but there are only 139 days left until Christmas! That said, it’s never too early to start shopping and tucking away those gifts, right?
I don’t know about you but it seems like this summer has flown by at warp speed. I’ve only checked off three items from my summer bucket list, so yes I need a little more time.
July was full of last minute fun. It seemed like every weekend was jam packed, including celebrating my half birthday!
Here are few things that I’m grateful for from July and some goals I’m working towards this August.
In July I …
Was grateful for:
Answered prayers and God having begun to move in my life in a way that is changing me from the inside out
Loved this nugget of wisdom:
Guard your time.
“You need to underwhelm your schedule so God can overwhelm your soul”- Lysa Terkeurst
Was touched by this movie:
Based on a true story, six Mormon missionaries in war-torn Liberia make a desperate cross-country trip to protect one of their own.
Experienced for the first time:
A bloggers conference!
The best bloggers conference, The Declare Conference. There were so many wonderful speakers and so much wisdom shared, but the best part were the connections and the new friendships that were made.
This August I…
Hope to find:
A beagle breeder who may have a female baby just for me, her name will be Clover.
Plan to:
Totally unplug (no social media or phone) with a vacation to the beach
Will:
Get more rest.
Want to:
Stay faithful to spending time with God, after all a relationship can only grow with time spent.
Hope to make:
Chocolate chip cookies dusted with sea salt…I’ll be sure to post the recipe!
On the blog I aim to:
-figure out a newsletter strategy for my blog
I really haven’t the faintest where to start but I know others who do!
-start working on my Christmas Gifts That Give Back gift guide
I recently met some incredible partners that I hope to collaborate with for some fun, unique Christmas gift ideas that will give back. Stay tuned for details!
What are some of your goals this month?
No Lie, my heart leapt into my throat when I read 139 days till Christmas. lol 😀 The rest definitely brought me back down though. 😉
It was a lovely read! This quote in particular really spoke to me today!

Many Thanks!
These are great. I’m working on unplugging completely and “underwhelming” my schedule. Definitely a much needed work in progress. On a positive note, I unplug for an hour a day. (Sounds kind of ridiculous but it’s a start). Great blog!
Starting somewhere is sometimes half the battle. So glad you stopped by Brittany!
I love that you celebrated your half birthday! I tend to forget about mine ha
I’m thinking it will be hard too, but worth it! Thank you Natalia!
I love the idea of no social media or phone during your holiday. I always do that when I go away. The first couple of days is difficult but after you can properly relax your mind
I’m thinking it will be hard too, but worth it! Thank you Natalia!
